This and that.

So the past couple months have been interesting since i last blogged. I was not sure where i would be this january hence the flight into the unknown. I decided on school and i start in January sometime. I struggled with the decision and settled on Office admin to start. I am very much still obsessed with decorating. Ever since I was little I would always watch this old house. My parents thought I was silly for wanting to buy an old house to fix up. You know it looks much easier on tv for sure. So my start or "refresh" into the real world has rolled on to doing the school thing. Im still knitting my dishclothes and they are christmasy. But they won't be done for Christmas. FAILLL My neck is an issue and I cannot knit for that long. I suppose we have to move with what is given to us. So I am slowly getting dishclothes finished. :) Just got my style at home mag and Im estatic. I got twittered by erin mcloughlin a couple times and followed by donnie wahlberg. Yes the world is good lol

So in my job search I was thinking well why do i have to work in a store?? So im pondering some more. Other people make things and sell them why can't I?  Finishing my 4th dishcoth and thinkin i could do simple items for knitting at this point and find some funky designs. I think its been in my mind for awhile. My goal is to start selling knitted items online. Yes is been done before and perhaps it looks like I am following other family members but I had the idea for a long time. To blog and to sell stuff on the net. So theres my beginning.

So as you can see the chair is mine. Looks pretty nice i think. Im a little down a uncle passed away. not that i knew him it was hubbys uncle. I wasn't plannin on talkinga bout it but Its so final. So abrupt I think thats why ppl cry. Its like they been sucked outta your life. I can only imagine what aunty is feeling. Or honestly I can't imagine at all. Anyways Im moving forward death is apart of life isn't it. Whether we want it or are ready for it. Thats why I had to buy this chair. It was really important :) Im seeing it looks better in my house just with a simple pillow. You can tell they didn't want it anymore it was not apart of their decor. Its fit right in with our humble place we call home.

So now that I have some spare time I been doin productive things like lookin for chairs and regular chores. Sometimes :) Today I found this toile french style antique chair. I messaged them and awaiting more info. Im not sure what enticed me about this type of chair. Ok i see it and I see rachel Ashwell the shabby guru coming to my house and saying how much she loves the chair. Well perhaps its not flowery enough for her
but I like it just the same.  I would think bout painting it.. but I think it would ruin the antiquity of it. So now Ive have a word back from this chairholder he still has it. So I am bartering a bit. I admit im enjoying this however having a job would provide me with more stability to be abled to by all the chairs in the world. :)

So then on my kijiji adventure I found this little beauty. I think this one was $40 I inquired about it as well. Its a simple rocking chair with great detail in the spindles. I love this chair it for me will look great with a bright pillow for the seat from like pier 1 or ikea. I have seen great pillows from Liquidation world as well for a great price So thats what I been thinkin about. Chairs. :) So I got a response well see if this lovely little chair will be mine or not. Im so ready to go get a funky pillow from Fw now.

Theres this quaint Green Barn in Sherkston nestled just behind some trees and away from the traffic. Its antiques shabby style.Love the old plates and the canopy beds with authentic old style quilts. I should have taken some pictures while I was there. Theres these amazing barn board benches that I am so wanting. Dreamy old wood with a great finish on them.
I was also intrigued with a old victorian table with chipped white paint that is essential for this look. A larger blue painted table for the dining nook?

I also almost purchased a set of white chairs with a pinkish peachy toile on them. Sadly I couldn't take these home with me. They had a couple tents set up with old wicker chairs and fabulous older linens and crochet bed covers. I was in heaven I must say. To top it all off I got to pet the green barn mascot, Ghost the black lab. He was loving the ppl and waggin his tail. I can't wait to go back soon. And Yes Im working on that job thing.:)

WHat do I have to do.. I want your chairs

So the teak chair issue is still happening. I see they posted the 2 chairs for $30!!! what a steal. I responded to them Im totally crossing my fingers that they respond this time.

So I have in total about 25 give or take ghords. This was an unplanned ghord garden when hubby decided to spread out the broken down soil from the black box. So it was spread out and about 2 weeks later i see this huge leaves spreading out across the lawn. Now I do not live int he country as much I would love to. The ghords kept growing and the vines went up on the garage.I slowly have been picking the ghords. Green ones, little mini pumpkins, green ghords. I haven't been sure what I am going to do with them but I been researching ghord art. This wreath is one of the ideas I have and think I will attempt it. I may have to buy a new glue gun and go crazy. Thinking about it now I have dried flowers DH gave this this year and I dried them. So i may make 2 wreaths. This is the site if you have a ghord issue as well. Halloween is my absolutely favourite holiday even though we don't get the time off. Happy Ghord decorating to you. http://www.ehow.com/how_5609605_make-harvest-wreath-thanksgiving.html

The wind and the allergies.. and a striped chair too.

Head is full today as the wind was blowing dust and things are starting to stop growing. Needless to say I been sneezing quite alot and I'm about to fall over with lack of sleep.  I can't keep my eyes open and I am babysitting.  Not a good combination. I be thinking I need a coffee But i don't drink coffee!!! So I found this chair today on kijiji this is not helpin with the sleep thing.  It looks relatively good with no obvious distress or marks on it.  Its for the bargain of $45. Not sure where I would  put it. And do I change the colors? This pic is quite small so its hard to say.  Im trying really hard to stay awake here.I am goin through garage sale withdrawl. With babysitting I don't get to go out on a saturday to soothe my rummaging fix. So kijiji is helping with this withdrawl. Happy saturday to you. A bigger pic is available if you go here. http://stcatharines.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-furniture-chairs-recliners-Chair-W0QQAdIdZ227890661. HAven't heard from the ppl for the teak chairs.  Maybe its a sign.

Kijiji bound.. treasures await you

So i saw these chairs on kijiji. I really like them there are 2 of them for $55. My sister in law has a blog as well and shes always posting craiglist items for sale.  I'm gonna hide here for a little bit longer not mentioning that I'm here.   We have 1 large chair with bulging looking arms and back. Reminds me of a sumo wrestler. So I was thinking of removing it out to the front porch. Where the chair out there will be shuffled off to the da da da dump. Lots of space for these funky chairs to go. Turning them to face the couch. Oh by golly I'm going designer on us. Worried that the kids will sit on them improperly and use them for their jungle gym tactics. :) Oh well moving on so fabric land will be visited maybe to make a cover for the couch. Also planning to fit these chair with some fresh fabric. Kids are in school i will have lots of time to do these little projects. For now I'm waiting on a message back from these kijiji ppl. Hope they are available this weekend.

the boys.

If your wondering where my nkotb talk is I didn't add any words of wisdom on that yet. Ill be working on it sooon though.
as you can see ive just figured out I can put pictures in the blog. So I apologize if I go crazy for a abit. The walls are gonna end blue or a greenish blue I see that now. I  keep picking pictures of that color.

fligh of the stairs that could be.

Ive always envisioned a very romantic house with blowing curtains and Im thinking that those eggs in a bowl at our house would just get tipped over or eaten by the dog. How to keep those pictures so eloquently in place. So I think Ill just dream about color schemes and stairs for now on. Yes I think the blowing curtains is from a meatloaf set of music videos. Ive let the curtains blow around it just isn't the same.

So these are more the style perhaps Im thinking. Although hubby wasnt keen on the blue stairs. Think robins egg honey. Well I get paid next week from babysitting so he doesn't know it but I plan to get the stairs ready and low and behold painted. Well see what happens. :) I been sayin that for a while. Any ways when In doubt dream big thats my theory. Thats what I been doing for years.
I really like this stairwell. Right now and for about 10 years we've tried to come up with a plan of redoing our stairs. Well do you think we can agree on anything. Not exactly.  For the moment were motionless due to  money. The stairs are sanded and ready for whatever comes next. lol Funny yes. My sister in law used similar blue soft paint so Im tryin to stay away from that soft serene blue. Ok so I like it. Maybe a soft green.? the blue is very relaxing to me.Moving on so the spindles Ive kept plain wondering if I should paint them as well. We will get there I know that. So for now I look at them every single time I walk up the stairs.:)

Life comes full circle in a week. One out one in.

My great aunt passed away 2 nights ago. SH ewas always an older person even when i was young . Grey hair. thick italian accent. Had to do double takes to listen to what she was saying. Her house was impeccable. Clean as a whistle so to speak. I remember walkin into her house and it had a warmth to it. A smell of cookies and pasta. There was always fresh cookies. SOme tasty some you would bite them and just chew and try to enjoy it. She was cheery and always wanted to pinch your face.
Not sure how to act at funerals. THey are so formal. We go wednesday for the showing. I was weepy yesterday and I can't imagine if it was my own mother. I know its gods way. But its not any easier. I will put on a brave face and be there for my dad. Its his aunt. Funny we just had a birth in our family so it really is a matter of one leaving and one starting fresh. Life is truly amazing. And memories of her life are amazing.

Precious

Its funny how we think we have it so bad. I just watched precious. I know its a story a movie. But im sure its a true story. The words may have been different. Different names. But its happened. I became a mother like most ppl with no manual. Im trying my best to give my kids the love and support they need. I think we all say ill never do it like my mother . BUt you do. Its in your blood. Im very grateful right at this moment for them. They are silly bundles of joy who are constantly pushing boundaries. Always learning. Always curious. Why  mommy. whats that. So many questions. And above all. Precious.

sunny 70's days

Im honestly feeling like a lost puppy some days. My kids like to get away to the neighbors and ride their bikes. Something i have to get used to for sure. So Im thinkin of ideas for halloween and getting my interests back. Its quite amazing. Its like getting your life back, not that I don't love my children because they mean everything to me. But now is the time for me again. I will get them ready make sure they have school supplies and the new school clothes. And i get some time to find out who I am again. Whether its takin photos which i love. School. Which im not overly overjoyed about. And work. Its money. Regardless if I don't wanna be there.

Cleaning and kids..

So usually the day ends with hubby coming home and he says. the house is a mess... Whatt I spent all day cleaning it. Ok who says I didn't buy the how to organize books and magazine for the year I have indeed. I wonder how other ppl actually get through the organizing with lovely little kids. The Videos now stay in their spot, I rearranged them today and the kids keep their hands off it for the most part. I buy the funky baskets in various funky styles and color. Its all good for a couple minutes then the kids come through and empty the baskets. I am about 10 minutes behind them, usually and when i get to the baskets they are rearrangin the bathroom shelving. It doesn't end but at the end of the day. They are sleeping and peaceful. Then is starts up the next day.

colors to pick .. what colors should i pick

So i been lookin at the shades of the living room color and its really buggin me. You'd think i would know what colors to pick as Im lookin for a relaxed and comfortable look. I just cannot decide. I think its the lack of new patterns to work with. The couch is very dreary. The couches were from my mother in law and they were dreamy and flowery. The flowers are turnin a dingy brown due to cats and dogs and whatever else. Sand.  So Thats my 1st dilamma. The 2nd would be the lack of funds to purchase these extra patterns and couches. So i feell stuck. Im gonna use the cloth i got through kijiji theres a mix and match of colours. So the fall cleanup is starting. The house will be closed up soon enough. Im having my own purge of stuff. We have so much clutter its crazy. So thats today.

sour grapes and wildflowers

My head hurts. I don't know what im thinking. I always thought I would have something to say. Here I am and I don't know what to say. Today my kids played with the neighbors next door. Its funny how so much laughter comes  from a home with kids. They giggle bout saying the word poo. Yes its a kids world in this house.  I spent today in bed. Normally i don't get to nap however I think it was the grapes from the day before that stopped me dead in my tracks. So now I am pretty awake. Welcome to thiswildflowers world. Here is a place for comfort. For chocolate. all my favourite things I want to talk about.
